Since the full-scale invasion, we have somewhat transformed the areas of our work, but have not changed our mission – to develop Ukrainian society by creating and supporting a network of volunteer, social, and educational initiatives.
We are pleased to inform you that we are resuming our project activities!
And right now, we accept applications for participation in the mini-grant competition of the Active Church in the Community project from the Leadership and Ministry programme
The Active Church in the Community is a project of grant support for social initiatives carried out by religious communities and activists in their communities throughout Ukraine (except for the temporarily occupied territories).
The project objectives:
support for initiatives aimed at integrating and supporting people in difficult life circumstances;
search and training of young activists in local communities;
establishing cooperation between the state, church, and the public environment for sustainable community development.
Who can participate in the competition:
- religious communities that are already engaged in social activities or are planning to start them;
- active community representatives who contribute to its development;
- parish youth who have ideas or want to try their hand at project management and social service;
- NGOs that want to develop their own community;
- monastic congregations working in the field of social service.
The training and grant project format:
* an annual grant competition;
* a three-day online training from professional coaches;
* support of social projects during implementation.
Terms of participation in the project:
- The team of project organisers which includes a priest and active community representatives, volunteers. The team must include representatives of both groups.
- Availability of a reasonable idea of a sustainable social project in the community.
- Availability of a registered non-profit (public, charitable, religious) organisation and a bank account.
- The duration of the project of the participants’ team is at least 3 months.
