The Space of Care in Lviv is officially open!
We are glad to inform you that our Space of Care is already receiving its first visitors!
Today, about 40 families from different cities of Ukraine, who temporarily live in Lviv, visited the festive opening of the space.
‘I just love this party so much,’ 5-year-old Ulyana shares her impressions of the opening of the Space of Care.
She, along with her mother, aunt, and cousin, moved to Lviv from Kherson Oblast two months ago. The family decided to evacuate when the occupation authorities gave them an ultimatum: either parents send their children to schools that agreed to ‘cooperate’ with the russians, or children are taken away from their parents to russian boarding schools.
The Space of Care is:
a game room
art therapy
art classes
Ukrainian and English classes
classes with a speech therapist
Here, parents from the affected communities can already leave children for developmental classes for several hours and, if necessary, receive psychological support.
All services for families are free.
‘We are sincerely glad that in such a difficult time, we’ve managed to create such a bright and cozy space where children are safe and spend time with benefit,’ says Marjana Kashchak, Director of the Ukrainian Education Platform.
The Space of Care will welcome families from the affected communities, families who faced difficult life circumstances, parents raising children on their own, as well as foster families.
The age of children who can visit the space is from 3 to 8 years.
