The DiiaTy Mental Health Hub is officially open!!!

DiiaTy The Mental Health Hub is the first Mental Health Hub in Lviv that provides assistance to professional psychotherapists and clergymen to all who need support.

Here you can get services of both individual counselling and group psychotherapy for children and adults.

This is a joint project of the Leadership and Ministry programme of the Ukrainian Education Platform, the Centre for Student Chaplaincy of the UGCC LA and the Orphan Care Center .

‘70 % of people in Ukraine do not have access to quality psychological and psychiatric care. Now, due to the full-scale war, mental health is particularly affected. The DiiaTy hub is a response to the current challenges that arise in our society. One of the centre tasks is to increase the level of people’s education in the field of caring for mental well-being. In the Hub, people will be provided with individual consultations, group psychotherapy, and comprehensive care of various levels’, says the Hub head, psychologist Maria Trakalo.

Since the beginning of June, the first visitors have started to arrive here. During this time, 150 people have already received or are in the process of receiving psychological assistance, including military families and people from the affected communities.

60 % of patients of the DiiaTy Mental Health Hub are served on a social basis

And in the process of therapy, 75 % of people say that they need spiritual support which the Hub will also be able to provide.

‘Visiting a psychologist is not a sin. It is a sin not to visit’.
