Spilno Children’s Spots in Lviv.

While the President of Germany was visiting Kyiv, our Prime Minister visited Berlin, UNICEF Ukraine and we received German parliamentarians and government officials at one of the Spilno Children’s Spots in Lviv.

Since the first days of the war, the Arena Lviv Stadium has been a haven for tens of thousands of people from the affected communities.

Soon, the Spilno Children’s Spot began to work there and became a place of safety and comfort for several thousand families temporarily living in Lviv.

The Spilno Children’s Spot provides people from the affected communities with psychological and social support which is so important for a person, especially under martial law.

Here, families have the opportunity to receive psychological and medical advice, participate in group classes for children with a social teacher (art therapy, games), learn about available social services in the community, services for children with disabilities and other opportunities. If necessary, we redirect people to the relevant authorities and assist them in resolving requests.

‘70 % of people who come to Spilno Children’s Spots need psychological support. Most of them are children because they are more emotionally vulnerable to alarms and unusual circumstances that arise before them,’ Marianna Kaspryshyn, the programme director of the Ukrainian Education Platform.

We thank our partners for working together!

Let’s take care of each other!
