A year of resistance and invincibility.

A year of resistance and invincibility. A year of perseverance and responsibility. We are one year closer to the Victory

A year ago, the war began. The war, which has been going on for 9 years. The war for identity, dignity, and values that has been going on in different ways for centuries.

Instead of confusion, one gets strength and confidence, unity, mutual assistance, and love.

Despite all the readiness to repel the aggressor, who had already been terrorizing and occupying certain regions of Ukraine for more than 8 years at that time, on the first day of the full-scale invasion, confusion was felt in the air: a full-scale war multiplied the challenges for Ukrainian society hundreds of times.

‘We understood that the communication, interconnections, and networking that we had until the end of 2021, actually helped us a lot to be ready.Because we understood the whole context of Ukraine, we were not separated from the central part, or the eastern, or southern part. We called all our partners who were about to be occupied or in the combat zone and offered them evacuation,’ recalls the first days of the full-scale invasion the director of the Ukrainian Education Platform Marjana Kashchak

The country’s civil society has now reoriented to combat urgent challenges – evacuation, humanitarian and psychosocial assistance to victims of war, the arrangement of shelters and bomb shelters.

The first year of resistance to the full-scale invasion showed the truly incredible strength and responsibility of Ukrainians.

To be a Ukrainian means to be:

 responsible

 bold

 strong

 proud

Our enemy is strong and enduring, but as long as we are together, as long as the entire civilised world is with us, we will fight.

And yes, we will fight with a common national front, defending our values, each and every one in need of protection and support.

Long live the Ukrainian State! Glory to the Ukrainian People and the Army! Eternal memory and honour to the Heroes who fell in the struggle!

From the first day of the full-scale invasion, we deployed the Humanitarian Mission and, thanks to joint work with more than two hundred partners, were able to evacuate more than 10,000 people from the active combat zone, provide more than 2,600,000 kilograms of humanitarian aid to more than 130,000 people in the controlled and temporarily occupied territories, provide psychosocial assistance to more than 15,000 people, and support more than 100 initiatives that have become powerful drivers of support to those in need in communities over the year.

In addition, we were able to restore and even develop our educational and social activities, taking into account the needs and challenges of the time.

And also – to unite in a large team those responsible and brave from different parts of Ukraine.
